In a story that could melt even the most embittered single person’s heart today, police managed to reunite a lost dog with its owner in Kunshan, Jiangshu province after the pup trotted into a local station to find help.
Duoduo the dog was waiting patiently outside the police station doors when an officer surnamed Fang started his shift at 4:00 a.m. on November 1, Sina reports.
Fang said when he opened the doors, the dog, which “appeared to be lost,” walked straight into the station as if it knew police would help.
“When a dog is lost, it also knows to come to officers for help,” said Fang.
Another officer in charge of the K9-unit identified the dog as an Alaskan malamute, worth up to 5,000 yuan ($817).
Soon after, police posted “found dog” notices on social media platforms such as WeChat and Weibo.The owner, a property manager, contacted the police after seeing the post on WeChat.
“I already looked for two whole days. I never thought I’d find him,” said the owner.
