A 13-year-old pre-teen in Quanjiang county, Jiangxi province insisted on going back to school in face bandages and gloves while recovering from severe burns he suffered after an accident last March.
Zhou Tao decided to go back to school in September although he was still in his recovery period, according Tencent. Each day after school, his father picks him up and takes him home on his motorcycle.
His teacher told reporters that Zhou is an outgoing student and in his latest exam, he scored the top grade in the class.
After Zhou was discharged from the hospital, his mother helped him with his medical care and recovery training every day.
He wrote in a composition: “Thank you, mom. Thanks for taking care of me and keeping me from bacteria inflections in the past six months. Because of your love, I survive; because of your love, I have to be strong.”
