A man in Putian city, Fujian province designed and built this mahogany monstrosity, which he modeled after a Lamborghini roadster.
Wood craftsman Yu Jietao carved out various pieces for the car then assembled them before whittling some decorative designs in it, according to China Daily, citing Fujian-based news site fjsen.com. Thankfully, the car is not relying on looks alone. It’s been fitted with tires and an electric motor that can run at a fast-n-furious 30 kilometers per hour.
It took Yu more than half a year and over 100,000 yuan to build the thing. A few collectors apparently have their eye on it and have contacted him with offers up to 220,000 yuan, or so Yu says.
We didn’t even know mahogany could be such a color. Still beats the the flying golden dragon car.
