You always imagine your first bank robbery will be like something out of the movies. For one man in Guangdong province, however, it was just one embarrassing event after the next, ultimately ending in failure.
According to Nandu.com, a man dressed in flip-flops and armed with a kitchen knife stormed into a bank in Heyuan around 9:00 a.m. yesterday and shouted “I’m robbing money!”. One of the bank employees, who sat on the other side of a counter guarded with bullet-proof glass, casually shouted back: “Stand in line!”
The man obediently waited in line behind two other customers before reaching the counter and demanding 10,000 yuan. Unfortunately, he was declined by the teller, who told him there was only one yuan left in his account
The defeated robber hit the glass screen with his knife a couple of times before leaving. He was eventually tracked down by cops and arrested.
What’s a knife-wielding lunatic gotta do to be taken seriously these days?
