Police officer’s wife arrested for prostitution in Henan

The wife of a police officer was recently arrested for prostitution in Zhumadian, Henan province and reportedly attacked and threatened the arresting officers.
The 39-year-old woman, Tian Juhong, was found to have over 20 condoms in her bag when she was arrested for soliciting sex in a restaurant, according to police. Upon her arrest, she scratched one cop’s face and threatened the officers with two kitchen knives, Sina reports.
Video footage showed Tian kicking the police car before stripping off her clothes in a fit of anger. The woman showed reporters bruises that she had sustained in the ordeal, accusing the officers of using force against her, but a hospital examination said they were merely surface scratches and not caused by excessive force.
The woman was found to have been prostituting since 2013 at a price between 50-100 yuan. A 55-year-old woman was also detained for organizing the operation. It’s unclear whether the woman’s husband was in on the ordeal.
