An employee at a branch of the People’s Bank of China in Yingkou, Liaoning province shot four of his supervisors inside the bank yesterday.
Two of the victims, the chairman of the labor union and the vice president of the branch, died immediately. Another company president and the director of the statistical department were wounded and sent to the hospital, Sina News reports.
The shooter was arrested at the scene. Details are still being investigated.
Ifeng News reports that the gunman shot the supervisors because of a disputes over money. Sina News, citing inside sources, said that the gunman asked a female president unrelated to the disputes to leave and then fired the shots.
There were rumors online saying the branch hadn’t paid the suspect, provoking the tragic shooting. Official relevant departments have denied this.
There’s no official sources explaining the motivation of the killing yet.
