Well this could’ve been disastrous. A railway engine was derailed on a test run and slid down a mud wall before crashing into a nearby residential area in Guangxi yesterday. Fortunately, no one was injured in the ordeal.
The locomotive was traveling at five kilometers per hour and went off course about five meters deep into the residential area, China Daily reports, citing the Liuzhou Locomotive Factory under the Nanning Railway Bureau.
The incident was caused by a mechanical breakdown, initial investigation showed.
