Anyone who’s grown up in a small town can never complain again after seeing images of this primary school in the mountains of Badong country, Hubei province, which has dwindled down to a mere two students.
Seven-year-old Zhu Rong and eight-year-old Tan Jianhui are taught by Yuan Ben’an, 59, who is responsible for both of their courses as well as providing their meals, according to CCTV News.
There used to be around 80 students enrolled at the school as well as several teachers, but rapid urbanization has led to most of the staff members and students’ families moving away from the mountainous area.
Much respect to Mr. Yuan.
