A 41-year-old man in Cixi, Zhejiang province has gained celebrity online for his “tough head”. Remarkably, he’s able to carry 180kg sandbags on his head—topped off with a dog—all while riding an electric bike. Woof.
Cai Tangmei, originally from Jiangxi, moved to Cixi 14 years ago. He now works as a porter for a ceramic shop, People’s Daily reports.
When Cai used to transport products for a plastic factory, the stairway was too narrow for him to carry heavy items on his shoulders, so he began carrying the load on his head.
After he took in a dog named Xiaohei from the street, he trained it using skills he learned when working for the circus. (Yes, he also worked for the circus.) After two or three months, Xiaohei was able to stand on sandbags and cement bags that Cai would carry on his head when going to work by e-bike.
Cai told media that he wants to break the Guinness World Record and attend the Chinese Dream Show when he’s able to carry more than 200 kilogram of cement on his head. Online, however, netizens are already pretty dazzled by his (and the dog’s) abilities.
“Life forces him to learn this ability. He deserves respect,” said user 我有个小毛驴.
An anonymous user agreed: “Labor creates art.”
