In just a few seconds, a 77-meter-tall hotel became nothing more than a heap of rubble and dust during a controlled demolition in Wuhan, Hubei province yesterday. This is the tallest building to have ever been demolished in Wuhan, NetEase News reports.
Another two residential buildings were also knocked down along with the hotel. The two buildings collapsed first and then the tall hotel.
Vehicles arrived at the scene to suppress flying dust by smothering it with water. Just 20 minutes later, traffic in the surrounding area had already returned to normal.
