A Tiananmen-esque building recently popped up near the Shanghai Xuhui Riverside Green Space. The shoddy impostor takes on a notable likeness to the historic Tiananmen Gate in Beijing, or at least a blown-up version of a Tiananmen Gate diagram made by a junior high school student in Beijing. Construction workers told NetEase News that it was built by a museum in 12 days, ahead of an exhibition they’re planning. The aim was, of course, to attract attention from passersby, apparently in a way that doesn’t involve naked people.
