The directors of a private company in Guiyang in Guizhou Province treated their workers to a giant hotpot feast for dinner this past Saturday, celebrating the workers’ hard work in the past year.
Eating lamb during the Winter Solstice Festival is a tradition for the locals, and mutton was definitely in ample supply, according to China Daily.
Some of the workers were responsible for helping to prepare food. All the workers ate together around 90 tables placed on the floor of the company’s building.
According to one worker, it wasn’t the first time that their bosses had treated them to a dinner. The company has quickly become successful through the hard work of the employees and the bosses have made the interests of the workers a priority.
The company was founded in 1993 and now boasts 2,000 workers.
Tis the season for free hotpot. Recently, a Chengdu hotpot restaurant treated more than 180 sanitation workers to free lunch and a new hotpot restaurant in Shijiazhuang invited sanitation to eat there for free for three days.
