A traditional Chinese wedding ceremony held by a rural family in a village on the foot of the Bailu Mountain in Lanxi city, Zhejiang province became a massive attraction in its own, drawing in over 30,000 spectators who came to watch the scene this past Saturday.

The groom dressed in traditional Chinese wedding clothing and was seen riding on a horse ahead of his bride, who was sitting in a bridal sedan in the middle of the crowd. A musical fanfare accompanied the wedding.

According to Tencent News, the groom is surnamed Pan and the bride surnamed Tong. It was the two families’ decision to hold a traditional marriage for the lovebirds.

The couple carried out all kinds of vintage wedding rituals, including a lion dance, the meeting of the bride, worshiping Heaven and Earth and dianjiao, a tradition that involves teasing the bride on the night of the wedding.
