Air China flight CA1336 flying from Nanning to Beijing was forced to make an emergency landing in Chongqing after a passenger claimed that there were bombs on board the plane. Police, ambulance vehicles, and firefighters were all deployed to the scene, and pictures posted by passengers on Weibo show SWAT teams on board after the plane landed.
Frighteningly enough, this isn’t the first on-flight bomb scare passengers in China have had to deal with recently. Earlier this month, a man was detained for 10 days after threatening to blow up a Nanchang-bound plane at the Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport because it was delayed (a move that effectively delayed flight another hour).
