Ingenious temple fair operators have discovered a lucrative way to make money by inviting Chinese kids to come play with their toy excavators at 20 yuan a go.
The toy excavators have become a big hit with both kids and their parents alike, earning the operators close to 10,000 yuan each day according to NetEase.
It’s nice to see kids taking part in a somewhat wholesome activity with their parents, unlike in Wuhan where children are encouraged to gamble in mock casinos.
These photos were taken at Taiyuan in Shanxi province, but the phenomenon has also spread to the neighboring province of Henan.
