On March 20, dozens of residents wore cartoon pajamas and laid down on a Changsha street in Hunan province to mark World Sleep Day, which aims to raise public awareness of the benefits of good and healthy sleep and draw attention to the burden of sleep related problems.
The performance art was organized by a hypnotist named Tony Tang, known in the mainland as “Chinese Mr. Sleep.” Tony showed the participants to display the scientific way to get a good night of sleep and stay psychologically healthy.
Rather amusingly, Mr Tony seems to be a bit late marking the occasion. According to the World Association of Sleep Medicine, who organize the annual event, World Sleep Day was actually held the previous Friday on March 13.
