Actor Wang Deshun, 79, walked the runway during China Fashion Week in Beijing on Wednesday looking remarkably better than many of the younger models with whom he shared the stage.
Granted, you couldn’t really see what any of the other models looked like dressed in the very, very avant-garde fashion of designer Sheguang Hu, who was sending his 2015/2016 Autumn/Winter collection down the catwalk.
The collection incorporated a red and green floral print that was ubiquitous in China in the 1980s, as well as some fabric that may or may not have been stripped off of a mattress. Netizens joked that the clothes were “Chinese vintage quilt style”.
Wang looked confident as all hell in the getup nonetheless.
Wang, a Shenyang-native, has acted in various films including The Forbidden Kingdom, Warriors of Heaven and Earth and Detective Dee: Mystery of the Phantom Flame. Most recently he was featured in the movie 20 Once Again, a role that prompted one web user to comment: “When I saw him, I thought to myself—he has turned back into a 20-year-old.”
He rocked it. But did he rock it better than this 72-year-old grandpa-turned-model?
Watch a video of the show here (Wang makes an extremely fierce appearance around the 2:05 mark).
