What’s there to do when your apartment has run out of water but you still have the urge to scrub the grime off your body and freshen up? Apparently, the answer would be to don your swimsuit, grab some shampoo, and shower under the local public water fountain, according to this Wuhan couple.
Photos published by Tencent capture the moment this couple with a midday craving for cleanliness (and perhaps a penchant for exhibitionism) took to bathing under the Wuhan Optical Valley Square fountain on Sunday afternoon.
While a confused crowd of on-lookers quickly gathered, the couple managed to rinse themselves for over 10 minutes before they were ushered away by security guards.
No explanation was given for the strange display, but we wonder if they were perhaps inspired by the free-wheeling bathing trend set by this Chengdu baby earlier this month. Indeed, this may have just been an opportunistic couple seizing the chance at a free bath—a vastly more economic approach to personal hygiene than the one taken by the guy who paid 100,000 RMB for an ’emperor style’ bath.
