Six children were injured yesterday morning after a man went on a rampage with a screwdriver at a kindergarten school in Guangzhou, capital city of Guangdong Province.
Shanghai Daily has reported that the suspect, a 38-year-old Guangzhou native surnamed Xu, was a father of one of the students at the kindergarten.
According to police, Xu was dropping his son off at kindergarten and started telling the other children that his son was being bullied, before proceeding to attack them with a screwdriver.
Reports from the incident have stated that the six victims sustained minor wounds and have been treated in hospital.
Xu was caught at the scene and police have said that the case is still under investigation.
In September, an angry father stabbed three children to death and injured several more at a Hubei primary school after the school wouldn’t let his daughter register for a new term.
