A foreign man was escorted away by police after he urinated inside of a public bus on Sunday morning.
A brief report in ThePaper.cn cited the bus driver, a man surnamed Wang, who said that they were traveling through the Jiangning district when the passenger fell off of his seat. A few elderly passengers attempted to help him up when he began to urinate.
All the passengers were evacuated from the bus and police were called to the scene.
The foreign passenger had difficulties communicating in English, and it’s suspected that he was intoxicated. Police are now “investigating” the ordeal.
It’s not clear why the man was taken away by police, considering parents commonly allow their children to urinate on public transportation without consequence. We can only assume that if he was incredibly inebriated, it was done for his own safety.
Either way, this is not the first instance of laowai behaving badly on modes of transportation. Last August, a foreigner punched a bus driver in Chengdu after getting into a fare dispute, and People’s Daily is still stewing over that time a group of Danish tourists got off a bus and pissed over a Shanghai overpass.
