A five-minute-long video has emerged of an American running his mouth in English and Chinese at fellow passengers on the Taipei metro for no apparent reason.
According to Apple Daily, the fast food-clutching middle-aged man, who we assume is from the US by his accent, boarded the Xinzhuang line of the Taipei Metro on the evening of April 16. Shortly after passing Songjiang Nanjing Station, he began cursing at nearby passengers.
After furiously swearing in a mixture of English and Chinese for over five minutes, during which time he even curses the Taiwanese President Ma Ying-jeou, the man is eventually intercepted by metro staff and escorted off the carriage by police officers.
It is not clear what happened prior to the start of the video, but reports indicate that the man was not provoked before he began to unleash the torrent of abuse at surrounding passengers.
The video was uploaded to Facebook, so apologies to all those without a VPN.
