A fleet of four stretch Hummers and more than thirty expensive sports cars appeared on the streets in Jinan, Shandong province yesterday to kick off a wedding ceremony for the bride and tuhao groom, attracting crowds of passing residents to stop and gawk at the spectacle.
Tencent reports that the groom is a man named Zheng Jiajun, manager of a luxury car club in Jinan city. The bride is of Russian origin.
According to China News, in addition to expensive cars, Zheng is also keen on acting. Not long ago, he was cast in a short film.
Many Chinese people are willing to splash out huge sums of money on their special day, like this ceramics magnate from Fujian who in 2013 paid a dowry of more than 1 billion yuan for his daughter’s wedding.
Some people, however, have resorted to more inexpensive and original ways to add some magic to their special day, like this gentleman from Zhejiang who rented four crane trucks for his wedding procession.
