A wheelchair-bound man has exposed a cheeky new way to draw attention to his one-man protest, simply by exposing himself and refusing to move.
Netease has reported that the man’s flashy antics are a demonstration against the urban management department’s decision to relocate his business.
Recently, the man’s tourism operation business, which he ran from a stall set up outside the adjacent hospital’s safety exit, was (funnily enough) deemed a safety hazard and ordered to be dismantled.
Feeling powerless, the disenfranchised man felt he had no other move than to strip himself of his wheelchair (and clothes) and lay inert at the scene of his freshly-razed business.
Security personnel quickly erected a barricade to shield onlookers from the immodest sight and dragged him away.
Earlier this week, out of favour models dressed as beggars to protest being spurned from the Shanghai auto show, while the protesting naked stunt has already been deployed (in a much more wrinkled and saggy display) by four Henan grannies outside the US embassy last year.
China can be a tough place to live with a disability, so we hope this particular man is able to resume his business and find success.
