An American pilot and a Chinese passenger were killed in a light aircraft crash in Huaibei city, Anhui province yesterday.
The aircraft caught fire minutes after it’d taken off at noon and went down at 12:19 p.m. in the city’s Suixi county, the Associated Press reported.
Both of the men on board were dead by the time firefighters reached the scene. They have yet to be identified.
The aircraft belonged to Henan-based George Heintz Aircraft Manufacturing Co., reports confirmed. The passenger on board came from Guangxi.
