Yet another video showing a man purposely launching himself at a moving car, this time in Guangxi, has been making the rounds online.
Street surveillance footage shows the man casually crossing the road and then sitting in between the lanes at around 10:00 a.m. Cars were forced to drive around the man, but none had hit him—much to his chagrin, it seems.
Around four minutes later, the man stands up, strolls to the opposite lane and stands in the middle, seemingly playing with his phone. Occasionally, he looks up to keep an eye on the passing cars.
A few minutes later, as a red car approaches him, the man runs towards the moving vehicle and throws his body against it. Pieces from the car can be seen flying out onto the road, and the man collapses.
According to the driver of the red car, the man remained on the ground, unmoving, and he immediately called the police and ambulance.
The case appears to be a clear attempt at extortion, similar to an incident from last week in which a woman was filmed loitering in the middle of the street and jumping in front of cars. She learned her lesson the hard way when she was actually hit by a vehicle while attempting to pull off the scheme.
The man is now being treated at a local hospital and the case is under investigation.
