Perhaps inspired by the surveillance tape footage of a Sichuan thug mercilessly beating a female driver, a Shanghai man was unable to contain his frustration when supposedly cut off by a lane-changing bus – and has been caught viciously attacking the bus driver on film.
The unidentified man furiously alleged the bus cut him off around a Zhoukang line 9 stop, and proceeded to board the bus and deal out a horrific beating to the 56 year-old driver, named Huang Zhiming.
Surveillance footage shows the man, overcome by rage, confront the driver and proceed to savagely beat him while other passengers try to restrain his violent temper.
According to the report, the fiery incident occurred after the man was caught off guard when the bus merged into his lane. The man abandoned his car and furiously chased the bus, ultimately lashing out at the driver.
Huang defended merging lanes, saying the manoeuvre was required to avoid two cars doing a U-turn. However, it would seem the aggrieved driver believes the move was purely intended to spite him.
Huang has been praised for his calmness in the face of some hefty blows, divulging his pacifist motto in an interview with reporters: ‘I Never fight back, never shout back. I have no choice, I just did what should I do.’
Further investigation is underway.
