Opening: Of Woods and Wonderlands by Pang Yun and Li Yuming @ Art+
This exhibit features paintings of delicate trees, dark skies, and imaginative landscapes by Chinese artists Pang Yun and Li Yuming. It celebrates the natural world, its innate order and raw strength. Pang and Li offer introspective interpretations of landscape painting, which has roots in both Western Romanticism and Eastern shan-shui painting. Opens today and is on until June 14. Arts collective Liu Dao throw a grand opening for their new show at the Bund-side Island6 spot. The exhibit focusses on evolution and man’s constant drive to discover. The Unknown @ Inferno
Get to know the underbelly of Shanghai’s madness, darkness and dreams. This events aims to showcase the artwork from some of the grittiest artists, and sounds from some of the most badass bands. Go check out Mojo Wang, 傅晓晨 (Xiaochen Fu), 冯伟 (Feng Wei), 匡宏 (Hong Kuang) and 臧贝贝 (Beibei Zang). Psyclopus, Mathlotus and Goushen will be providing the music.
