A woman in Jiangxi province who gave birth in the bathroom of an internet cafe returned to her computer after the task was done so that she could continue surfing the web. Now that’s dedication.
Workers at the internet bar in Nanchang had rushed to the bathroom after hearing a baby cry, and saw a pool of blood by the door.
One worker told reporters that they were worried something had happened to a child in the bathroom—but that wasn’t exactly the case.
A woman was found in one of the stalls cradling a newborn baby, with its umbilical cord still attached. Workers at the cafe scrambled to the phone to call an ambulance, but the new mother seemed a bit more relaxed about the whole ordeal. She returned to her seat to continue playing on the computer.
When the paramedics eventually arrived, she refused to get on the stretcher and walked to the ambulance herself.
According to southcn.com, the 24-year old woman from Shandong left home and planned to meet her boyfriend in Jiangsu to give birth, but the baby popped out sooner than expected. She is now in the hospital with her baby. It is unknown, however, what exactly she’d been so preoccupied with online at the time.
