In the latest overly-optimistic and delusional attempt at securing a wife, a bare-chested man has commandeered a Chongqing street as he attempted to sell himself to any interested rich woman, reports Netease.
The half-naked man, who seems quite assured of his charms, planted himself in a cardboard box and held a handwritten sign soliciting payment for his plentiful flesh.
The man’s sign endorsed him as a Tsinghua university doctoral student, before claiming he was forced to sell his body since family difficulties meant he had no way of realising his dream of studying abroad.
Traditionally, marriage in China has been contingent upon the payment of a betrothal gift by the man, yet this guy seems intent of flipping that convention on its head. Ironically, Chongqing girls are supposedly the ‘cheapest’ to marry anyway—according to this info-graphic.
Much to the man’s disappointment, there did not appear to be many female suitors queuing to take up his offer. Although, perhaps he might have more luck at one of China’s marriage markets.
