A two-year-old boy has been rescued following a 20 hour ordeal after falling into a deep and narrow well near a demolition site in Xi’an, Shaanxi province yesterday morning.
Tencent News reports that the well was about 30cm to 40cm wide and 40 meters deep. The depth and narrowness of the well caused rescuers no end of problems while trying to bring the boy back up.

According to CCTV 13, a team of over 100 policemen and fire fighters was dispatched to retrieve the boy.
