A bus carrying more than 50 people overturned on a highway in Hunan this morning, killing 7 and injuring over 40 passengers.
Sohu News reports that the crash occurred at around 11:40 a.m. this morning. According to an initial investigation, the incident took place after the driver, who was unfamiliar with road, slammed on the brakes and caused the vehicle to skid into the barriers.
All of the passengers were on a tour arranged by a company based in Changsha.
Just one week ago, a tour bus carrying 46 people overturned and plunged 30 meters into a valley near Xianyan city, Shaanxi province, killing 35 and injuring the remaining 11 passengers.
