NetEase has reported on how Jinan’s public waterways have come overrun with rowdy middle-aged men and women.
Nearby residents of a natural spring-cum-nudist oasis claim almost 40 men visit everyday to flop it out and bask in the sun.
It remains to be seen how long the display will be tolerated, with nude-beach goers in tropical Sanya being put on notice for their bareness.
Perhaps inspired by the exhibitionism of this Wuhan couple as they showered under a public fountain, a number of recalcitrant aunties and uncles have continued to strip off in this local moat, much to the frustration of authorities and any passer-by not keen on an eyeful of saggy flesh.
Keeping cool is not the only reason for taking a dip, with many spotted bringing soap and toiletries to perform their daily rituals of bathing, teeth-brushing and washing their shoes. It’s not the only time Chinese bathers have availed themselves of a public amenity to freshen up their feet.
