It is for more than a century now that Swan Lake, the classical model of Russian ballet, has enjoyed legendary popularity on the repertoire lists of the world’s lyric theaters. The immortal theme of Odette the Swan fraught with elegy at times, then radiating a passionate elation of spirits, has become the signature tune of the ballet.
