A student in Beijing has reportedly made a fortune out of selling quilts on campus. Specifically, quilts that were used by former female graduates.
Long Yi, a junior at Qinghua University, bought dozens of quilts from graduating female students for 800 yuan each and advertised about his huge quilt sale online. In a day, he made over 10,000 yuan.
Long came up with the idea when he saw another female graduate sell her old quilt minutes after she posted it online.
“It’s such a bargain, because they were used by the girl I have adored for three years,” said one of the customers, Xiao Lei, who we’re assuming used an alias because that shit’s weird. “Now that she’s graduating, I’ll have her quilt as a souvenir,” he added.
One woman surnamed Li, an exchange student from Korea who is returning to her hometown after graduation, told reporters she sold most of the things in her dorm to Long.
I think we can all admit we’d much rather opt for the females’ comforters than ones used by male college students. Euuuuuugh.
