Sichuan war veteran and unquestionable badass Duan Zhi-cai recently discovered that a bullet had been wedged inside his body for 60 years without him knowing it.
The 94-year-old vet, who fought in wars against Japan and America in 1943 and 1950 respectively, was sent to the hospital two years ago when he noticed a pain in his abdomen intensifying.
Doctors performed x-rays on him and were shocked to find a bullet embedded in the left side of his pelvis.
According to medical reports, the bullet was estimated to be three-centimeters long, but doctors advised that it not be removed due to Duan’s age.
Since the lead part of the bullet was pointed upward and there was no visible wound on Duan’s abdomen, medical staff believe that Duan was hit in the buttocks all those years ago.
The vet said he was injured twice in the wars, and still has visible marks from bullet wounds on his arms.
