As we march into mid-June, thousands of university graduates are changing into their college robes and caps to capture their last moments as students. Just like last year, Chinese students’ creative and occasionally over-the-top graduation photos have been making waves on the web. Check out a selection of them here.
In Sichuan, a group of students from an aviation college shot a collection of “romantic” graduation photos. It was confirmed by the school that these students have already landed jobs as flight attendants in airline companies, including China Southern Airlines and Chengdu Airlines. Inspired by the film Titanic, the students posed on the wings of an airplane to symbolize the friendship and trust formed among one another on campus. Ahh…
Meanwhile, students from Sichuan University of Science and Engineering opted for something a bit more spooky. Inspired by a Chinese novel series Daomu Biji (The Grave Robbers’ Chronicles), the students wanted to take a series of photos that look “different” from any others. The images were shot at Zhang Garden, an ancient architectural site in Sichuan.
The garden was built in 1923, and belonged to governor Zhang Bo Qing during the Minguo times.
In Shandong, a group of students wrapped themselves with pink ribbons in support of the breast cancer awareness movement.
A female student from Chongqing has gained a lot of attention on Weibo for her grad photos, each of which features two versions of herself; one as a freshman and the other as a graduate.
