On the heels of the “Belly-Button Challenge” comes yet another trend among Weibo users keen on showing off their “fit” physiques, and somehow, it’s managed to be even more ridiculous than its predecessor.
Thousands of Chinese netizens have uploaded images showing their attempts at the “Collarbone Challenge”, a test that’s supposed to determine how fit you are depending on how many coins you can balance on your collar bone.
Weibo has been flooded with images of coin-filled collarbones as women from across the country put their body parts to the test.
It seems as though the Collarbone Challenge is even less “challenging” than the Belly-Button Challenge, as most participants appear to be fitting handful of coins on their collar bones quite easily.
Guys also joined in on the fun…
… while some participants decided to take it to the next level by placing larger items on their collar bones.
It should go without saying, but Dr. Lu, chief of the orthopedics department at Chongqing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, has reminded participants that the challenge is in no way an indicator of fitness, and that it all depends on the way people’s collarbones are structured.
He suggested using the body mass index (BMI) as a more objective and scientific method to measure body fitness.
