A seven-year-old kid from Henan province took the spotlight at the 6th national cross-country motor car race in Liaoning province last week.
The large-scale motor race, which was held from Friday to Sunday, attracted over a hundred local and foreign competitors, including Korean and French nationals, who participated in various groups. French rider Renjie won the all-round championship.
The young rider, Li Haoyu, not only took the lead in the youngsters’ group, but also showed off his riding skills during the one-hour endurance test in the adult group, where he gave an impressive performance comparable to his fellow grown-up competitors.
Li’s outstanding performance impressed the judges and earned him the title of “Best New Talent”.
When reporter asked Li, who had been practicing motor car racing for three years, how he felt about participating in the challenge, he casually replied “It’s alright.”
