PFLAG Conference @ Andaz Xintiandi
The well-received PFLAG Conference, held since 2013, was attended by more than 400 LGBT and their parents during Pride6 last year. Participants have shared sincere coming out stories at the conference, which helped LGBT children and their parents to better understand each other. The first 40 parents who sign up will be given free accommodation on June 20 and all parents who participate will enjoy free dinner on the same day. Register here. Fête de la musique @ Sinan Mansions
The wonderful musical carnival Fête de la musique, celebrated in more than 100 countries, is back in Shanghai again after its first launch in 2010! Hundreds of musicians will perform across the city. The vape meet is jointly held by Shanghai Vape and Vapina Vape Club, who comes all the way from Guangzhou especially for the event. Rather be a Doctor: Interpreting the Medical Elements in Chen Zhen’s Artistic Creation @ Y.W.C.A. Building
Check out this event with both exhibition and lecture. The works of artist Chen Zhen, who struggled as a terminal patient from a family of doctors, will be showcased at the exhibit. Through his works he expresses his experiences and thoughts regarding human body, psychology, diseases and medical science. The talk will be hosted by Liu Qiang, who is the deputy director of Clinical and Evidence-based Studies Center of World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies. In the lecture, Liu will interpret Chen Zhen’s practice experience and art works from a medical perspective. Reservation is required. Click here for more information.
