A man was stabbed to death yesterday outside of a nursery school in Guilin, Guangxi, according to reports from Xinhua and China News. Immediately after, the attacker ran off with the victim’s three-year-old son.
The victim was with his son outside of the school in the Lingui district at around 5:00 p.m. when the suspect stabbed the man and took the boy, then drove off towards Tai Tang Village.
Pictures of the crime scene show the man lying on the ground, his body covered in blood.
A female kindergarten staff member who witnessed the whole attack told reporters that the attacker seemed to know the victim, leading her to believe that the stabbing was an act of revenge.
She added that the victim had run a business nearby.
News of the murder spread quickly on Weibo. Police informed reporters that the case is currently under investigation and that the suspect has not yet been apprehended.
