A drunk motorist in Beijing is lucky to be alive after his Land Rover flew off an elevated road and plunged eight meters to the ground, where the SUV crashed into another vehicle before overturning.
The driver reportedly rammed through the guard rails at the Guo Mao bridge in Beijing’s capital at around 1:40 a.m. on Thursday morning.
Police said that the driver was intoxicated at the time and may have been using an illegal license.
The drunk driver suffered head injuries and fractured ribs, while the motorist in the clipped car fortunately walked away unharmed.
