Taiwanese pop star Jay Chou has reportedly rented out the entire sixth floor of a confinement hotel in Taipei for the recuperation of his wife, who gave birth to a baby girl early this month.
The luxurious Ma Cherie Postpartum Centre, situated in Jinsan South Road, has six rooms on its sixth floor.
Insider pictures posted to Apple Daily showed the new mother Hannah Quinlivan’s car parked at the center’s basement. A woman also revealed that she had recently been moved out of the sixth floor, being told that it was due to a safety checkup by the fire department.
However, both the centre and Chou’s label JVR Music denied the booking.
The centre, which is just 10 minutes driving distance away from Chou’s home, allows Chou to easily drop by for visits. There’re also many strict security measures, including a special electronic wristband that is only given to family members for the access of the centre, parking space and even elevator.
The VIP room that Quinlivan reportedly lives in contains luxurious amenities such as a massage chair and an air purifier. Six meals will be provided each day, with a weekly menu that include dishes like oyster sauce pig trotters, five-grain rice and sesame oil pig liver soup.
Reporters calculated that such accommodations would cost Chou about NT$2.2 million (439,141 yuan) for a month, had he indeed rented out the entire floor. Judging by the pics of the couple’s crazy lavish wedding ceremony, we wouldn’t really be surprised if they had.
