A teen was spotted clinging onto the back of a moving truck in Liupanshui, Guizhou last week, apparently in an attempt to keep the truck doors closed after the lock fell off.
GB Times reports that a traffic cop saw the teenage boy clinging onto the back of the truck while on patrol. Due to rush hour traffic, the officer was unable to pull over the truck right away, so he followed the vehicle until it stopped moving and escorted the boy and driver away for questioning.
The officer was shocked to discover that the teen had only been trying to hold the back doors together because the lock was broken.
The truck driver was penalized and received six penalty points, as well as a 500 RMB fine. Police officer also gave the boy a warning.
