Surveillance footage captured the moment a man was thrown out of the small truck he was driving after being hit in the back by a BMW on a Hangzhou highway this past Tuesday. The driver miraculously survived the crash, sustaining only minor injuries.
The incident took place at around 3:00 p.m. on a highway bridge towards Hangzhou Bay, Ningbo, Oriental Daily reports.
As seen in the footage, the driver of a private car suddenly deviated from the lane he was on and smashed into a small truck ahead. Both cars instantly lost control and hit the barriers at the side of the bridge. The small truck took a spin, tossing the driver out onto the road.
The small truck driver, surnamed Wang, said that he and his niece were delivering goods from Anhui to Hangzhou Bay New Zone. Both of them had their seat belts buckled up at the time of the incident.
Miraculously, Wang only sustained minor injuries on his head while his niece was unharmed.
The BMW driver, surnamed Zheng, confessed that it was his fault for darting from the original lane, and said he could not stop the car in time.
Although the BMW was seriously damaged, there were no passengers on board and Zheng was not harmed.
