For the grand finale to a rollicking month-long crayfish festival in Hunan, a 2.5-meter-tall excavator was brought in to help fry up some crayfish in bulk for the farewell dinner.
The event was co-hosted by Sina Hunan and a restaurant specializing in crayfish in Changsha
A veteran crayfish cook operated the excavator in order to stir the hundreds of crustaceans simmering in the wok. It looks very practical and hygienic. Expect to see them everywhere soon. The cooked crayfish were then piled in front of 24 lucky contestants, Sina News reports.
The three eaters able to shove the most crayfish in their mouths got a prize. Hopefully it was worth it.
This is impressively weird and all. But do they have a record-breaking, 100-ton statue of a crayfish that looks like it could fight Godzilla?
