A hotel chain in Changsha is evidently pretty desperate to hire young girls to sleep inside it, going so far as to dress their recruiting staff in fluffy animal suits with creepy black masks and hire a chicken hypnotist in an all-out effort to find girls who are down for the job.
In the very questionably titled China Daily article “Hotel hires young girls for sleep trials,” the hotel chain describes how it wants to employ young girls to spend the night at their various locations in order to help them improve their services and facilities. The pay is a really nice 10,000 yuan a month, plus there’s a 240,000 yuan bonus at the end of each year.
But the job is more than just sleeping around. Employees have to spend nights at some ten different hotels each month, and the following morning they must write research reports of at least 5,000 characters touching on all aspects of the hotel, including bed size and furniture brands.
In order to convince young girls to take on this grueling work, the hotel brand’s recruiting staff donned cartoonish animal costumes and black masks—because why not? Not like they were the star of the show anyway.
AGAIN—we can’t stress this enough—they hired a chicken hypnotist!!!
We have no idea how any young lady could not be swayed by such a strong pitch.
