One of the more minor inconveniences of massive explosions that can be seen from space shaking your city to its core has begun popping up on the internet with Tianjin Weibo users posting notifications that purport to address the unfortunate fate of their parcels.
The rather straightforward notification “Your parcel has been destroyed in an explosion” (您的快件已被炸毁) has been posted by at least a dozen Tianjin netizens on to Weibo.
The tracking messages show that beforehand the packages had arrived at a sorting station in Binhai District where the blasts were centered.
Some netizens commented that the wording was too direct considering the sensitive nature of the current situation where the death troll has recently risen to 50 and people are still being rescued from the smoldering ruins. Others posted a candle sticker to commemorate their lost package.
