Quiet Riot – Asian Disco Rooftop Silent Disco @ Tap House
The Tap House Jing’an w/Tou-JAM is proud to present an event two for the price of one, Quiet Riot: a rooftop party and a silent disco. For the first Quiet Riot, Discosmic Adventure’s Nik Hilp (aka American Booze DJ) and “Shanghai’s #2 DJ,” DJ B.O, will be dropping dance jams from all over Asia: vintage Hong Kong funk, Cambodian electro, Indian Bhangra-fusion, and Chinese jams from some of your friends…expect a fun mix of Pan-Asian fun.

Shanghai Book Fair @ Shanghai Exhibition Centre
Shanghai’s biggest book fair is back from August 19 to 25. There will 605 events to attend including book signings, discussions, and Q&As. Most of the authors attending will be Chinese, but there will also be a small percentage of well known foreign authors.

Shanghai Ever @ Museum of Contemporary Art

Swan Lake – Moscow Ballet Theatre @ Shanghai Oriental Art Center
The Classical Russian Ballet of Moscow is kicking off a nationwide tour of China with its signature ice ballet Swan Lake. This production of Tchaikovsky’s masterpiece will feature contemporary ice dancing maneuvers artfully combined with ballet to retell the timeless story of Prince Siegfried and swan queen Odette.
