Métamorf’Ose @ Shanghai Children’s Art Theatre
Métamorf’Ose is a vocal and kinetic theater production in which two actresses/singers create a dream-like atmosphere, which leads into as series of perpetual transformations. A shell made of crinoline with multiple faces is the central object of the play, giving birth to unreal creatures as well as timeless and strange individuals. 45 minutes long. The late night dining restaurant is finally offering brunches! The city’s renowned chef Paul Pairet and his team will remix and reinterpret classical breakfast items in the weekend lunch. Swedish Beer Club Presents Change for Charity @ Pop Up Market
Big ‘ol charity event going down at the Swedish Beer Club. If you don’t want to drink or eat, it is free. Otherwise, a 150rmb ticket gets you free-flow food and alcohol, and there’s some DJ dropping tunes, roller derby ladies doing demos, and people selling handbags and cupcakes. They want your change. Boosh Festival @ Shanghai Centre
Family friendly Shanghai Centre will play host to this year’s main festival. Starting at 12pm this free, music extravaganza will also feature an array of Shanghai DIY and artisan vendors at the Boosh Bazaar. As always, music is the main focus and the outdoor stage will feature 6 or more bands daily.International bands Jeffrey Lewis & the Jrams and The Bollands along with local Chinese bands will be featured on Saturday, followed by some of Shanghai’s most impressive expat bands on Sunday.

Cavalia, the first production of the Canadian company, began its world tour in the summer of 2003. Shanghai Bund @ JDF Yun Feng Theatre
Based on the Cantonese TV production, the musical Shanghai Bund tells the love story of Cheng Cheng and Xu Wenqiang during the 1920s. Their love for each other, however, is disrupted by conspiracies between Feng Jingyao, Cheng Cheng’s father, and the French. With realistic backdrops and the use of holograms, this musical allows the audience to travel back in time and see what Shanghai used to be like.

Miserable Faith @ Shanghai Concert Hall
