Remember that life-sized replica of the Great Sphinx that popped up randomly in Hebei last year? Well now the movie production company behind that knockoff has began work on building scale replicas of the Temple of Heaven and the Louvre Pyramid as well. Visit now to see all three world wonders for the price of a bowl of noodles!
10 yuan will get you into the “park” situated in a dusty field outside of Shijiazhuang city in Hebei province. For an extra 10 yuan you can actually enter the infamous copy-Sphinx that disappointed the nation of Egypt enough to get them to file a complaint with UNESCO, which apparently didn’t do much.
Local reports say that apart from the three landmarks, the place is also filled with weeds, construction materials and warning signs. You get what you pay for.
We will have to see how another competing knockoff park in Anhui, currently containing just the Great Sphinx and Pyramid of Chuzhou, responds.
